3. Electronic shutter setting [SHUTTER]
Specifies the electronic shutter speed. The following are available for the speed:
When the frame frequency is 59.94 Hz: OFF (default), 1/100, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000,
1/4000, 1/10000 and MANU
When the frame frequency is 50 Hz: OFF (default), 1/120, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000,
1/4000, 1/10000 and MANU
Selecting "MANU" and pressing the [SEL] button will display the "SHUTTER" screen for the detailed
adjustment of shutter speed.
When the frame frequency is 59.94 Hz: The adjusting range is 7/1125 to 1123/1125.
When the frame frequency is 50 Hz: The adjusting range is 6/1125 to 1123/1125.

When "SHUTTER" is specified, set "ELC" and "SENS UP" to "OFF" respectively. (

If flicker is observed under fluorescent lighting of 50 Hz, selection of "1/100" for the speed can
reduce flicker.
4. Gain adjustment [GAIN]
Select a gain control setting from the following:
OFF (default): No gain adjustment
AUTO(L), AUTO(H): Automatic gain adjustment
MANU(L), MANU(H): Manual gain adjustment
Fine adjustment of gain level
The gain can be finely adjusted in both "LOW" and "HIGH" levels.
Step 1
Select an adjustment method in "GAIN" and
press the [SEL] button.
The "GAIN LEVEL" screen appears.
