ARIA 240 & 240 SUPER
OPERATING MANUAL
Check that the filter compartment is tightly closed and that there are no air vents between the hopper and seals.
This would result in loss of vacuum, affecting the suction performance.
Before switching the machine on check all controls and safety devices to use it in the most appropriate manner.
Starting and steer gently. Slow down before curves, the slipperies and uneven surfaces. Do not climb over
objects, avoid potholes along the way. Pay close attention to swerve on slopes.
If during the work there were any problems, leave the forward/backward advancement lever and use the
emergency button. Turn the ignition key to position "0". These commands will lock every part of the machine
movement. To resume work, once the problem has been solved, raise the emergency button and turn the key to
position "1".
When the battery level charge is low, the vacuum motor switches off automatically; it is necessary therefore to
recharge batteries as soon as possible. There remains a residual charge for moving the machine to the
charging point.
The machine is equipped with an electric brake, which realises with the traction. If it is necessary to transfer the
machine without batteries, the electric brake must be released using the handwheel in the rear drive motor. By
screwing the handwheel the brake is released and the machine will be in neutral. Remember to restore the
initial conditions with the electric brake blocked, keeping the same handwheel unscrewed, so that the machine
is always braked and not in neutral.
12 DRIVING POSITION
The operator must take a position between the steering handle and the vacuum hose. The operator can walk to the left
or right of the machine depending on the version chosen.
Before starting operating, it is important to identify the route to be followed by paying attention to the flow of
other means present in the surroundings, so that the operator always works on the sidewalks and on the
protected side. Be careful when going up anddown from sidewalks, to avoid machine overturning, this can be
done only in areas where the sidewalk is designed to allow entry and exit via ramp access. The machine must never go
down from the sidewalk and must never take steps in points not provided.
13 OTHERS OPERATIONS

13.1 Filter shaker

The filter cleaning is done manually, through the removal of the filter from its compartment (Nr. 7 table COMPONENTS
MACHINE). It is necessary to unscrew the locking flyer on the guides, and the filter remains free for removal. To shake
the filter is enough to hit him gently on the floor, paying attention to not damage it.
If the machine is the Aria 240 Super, it is necessary to operate the corresponding switch on the console (Nr. 6 table
CONTROLS AND INSTRUMENTS). This operation allows to download into the hopper the dust trapped by the filter.
Removal and optional replacement of the filter may lead to inhaling unhealthy particles. Use appropriate PPE designed
to protect the respiratory tract.
13.2 Waste quantity control inside the hopper
It is possible to control the filling of the waste hopper. In this case follow the procedure for unloading.
