5.1. POSITIONING
There must be a guaranteed space around the machine (photo E) of sufficient size to allow correct use and
to carry out maintenance operations .
Place the power cable so that it will not be in the way during use.
6. COMMISSIONING
6.1. PREPARATION FOR USE
Before commissioning the machine, carry out the following operations:
•
remove the protective film from the machine (photo F);

•
install the drain protection (11), securing it in place with the screws provided, as shown in the photo G.
6.2. POWER SUPPLY
WARNING:
THE MACHINE MUST BE CONNECTED TO A POWER LINE ABLE TO GUARANTEE THE
CONTINUITY OF THE EARTH CIRCUIT.
WARNING:
THE MACHINE MUST BE POWERED FROM AN ELECTRICITY INSTALLATION THAT
COMPLIES WITH CURRENT STANDARDS.
The power line must be protected with devices to protect against overcurrent, considering the installed power
and the section of the power cable. The use of adapted cables, multiple sockets and/or extension leads is
prohibited.
To connect the plucking machine, insert the plug into a mains power socket. To show that the machine is
connected to power, the light (17b) will switch on.
6.3. WATER SUPPLY
WARNING:
NEVER EXCEED THE WATER SUPPLY PRESSURE STATED IN THE TECHNICAL DATA
TABLE.
Connect the water supply to the valve on the machine (preferably hot water) and secure the hose with a clip
(photo H).
7. OPERATION AND USE
CAUTION:
THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ
AND UNDERSTOOD THIS MANUAL.
7.1. PRE-PLUCKING OPERATIONS
Before placing the bird in the machine, soak it in water at a temperature of 60°C - 65°C for a minute and a half
in the case of chickens, and 2 and a half minutes - 3 minutes in case of ducks or small geese. Do not exceed
the stated times so as not to risk cooking the skin or the meat. For water fowl, we recommend: lifting the bird's
feathers with a small comb to help the water to penetrate more easily. Wear safety gloves to prevent burns and
scalds to the hands. The bird is ready to be plucked when the feathers come out easily.
7.2. USE
Follow the instructions for using the machine:
•
press the green start button (17c) to start the machine;
•
(only for Cylindra model) : lift the lid (3), gripping it by the handle (4) (photo I);
•
place the bird/s inside the drum. We recommend that you do not place more than 3 birds (1.5 kg each)
into the drum at any one time, in order to get the best possible efficiency from the machine;
•
(only for Cylindra model) : close the lid (3);
(only for Cylindra model) : open the water valve (5), moving it so it is parallel with the hose, until the flow of

water is enough to guarantee sufficient discharge of feathers from the inside of the machine. Hot water is
