the best choice so as not to lower the temperature of the birds;
• make sure that the feathers are discharged properly and that there is no build up;
when the birds are completely plucked, open the lid (3) (only for Cylindra model) and take them out;
•
• close the lid (only for Cylindra model) and operate the machine empty, leaving the water to run for 10-15
seconds so that the feathers are rinsed out before loading the machine again;
• at the end of the plucking operations, or when necessary, switch off the machine with the stop button
(17d).
It may happen that the machine is unable to remove the feathers from the wings of the bird; in this case, they
will have to be removed by hand.
Once processing is complete and with the machine still on, close the lid (only for Cylindra model) and open
the valve completely for about 10-15 seconds to rinse out the machine. After 10-15 seconds, switch off the
machine using the red stop button.
8. MAINTENANCE

THE PROBLEM YOURSELVES. UNPLUG THE MACHINE FROM THE POWER SUPPLY
AND CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER OR DEALER.

Regular machine maintenance increases the machine's useful life and safe operation. Maintenance must be
recorded in the special maintenance log annexed to this manual. In case of necessity, contact the manufacturer.
8.1. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

8.2. MACHINE CLEANING
To clean the machine, proceed as follows:
• disconnect the machine from the mains electricity;
• disconnect the water supply hose, removing the clip;
• (only for Cylindra model) : disconnect the connector from the lid microswitch, lifting the tab and separating
the two parts (photo J);
remove the 10 knobs securing the roller to the base of the machine (photo K);
•
• lift out the roller (photo L);
• use a low-pressure jet of water to rinse any residues out from the base of the machine. clean out any
feathers that may have become stuck under the base of the rubber plucking fingers by hand (photo M);
• clean the roller with a low-pressure jet of water or pressure washer;
• disinfect the base and roller with hot water and an alkalising detergent;
• rinse the base and the roller after sterilising;
• dry the base and the roller with a clean cloth;
• check the condition of the rubber plucking fingers and scraper under the turntable; if necessary, replace
any worn parts. For this process, please see the relevant section;
• put the machine back together, following the above steps in reverse order. To reconnect the microswitch
connector (only for Cylindra model) , slide the male into the female and make sure the tab is locked as
shown in the photo (photo N).
