4. The use of baking paper with the appliance
Important!
Follow strictly these instructions concerning the use of baking
paper with the appliance to guarantee the right functioning and
life time of the appliance.
Warning!
Use only an approved baking paper dedicated to high temperature
with the appliance. The use of not approved baking paper can
cause a fi re and/or considerable damage of the appliance.
4.1 The fi xation of the baking paper on the upper heating
plate
The baking paper has to be changed every day. It is fi xed on
the upper heating plate by two clips. To reach these clips, the
upper heating plate has to be removed. Proceed as described
here bellow.
Warning: The upper heating plate and the glass can be hot, if
in or directly after use. It is strictly advised to put or change the
baking paper only with a cold upper heating plate. If not, use
protective gloves for high temperature use.

Be sure that the appliance is switched off.
1. Put a glass saver (eg. Cloth or high temperature silicone
pad) on the glass and maintain the lid closed.
2. Unlock the upper heating plate by pushing the unlocking
knob backwards
3. Help the descent of the upper heating plate by guiding the
fl exible tube.
4. Gently open the lid. The upper heating plate has to stand
upright on the glass saver. The baking paper clips fi xations
are visible on the top of the upper heating plate.
5. Just pull the old baking paper, if present.
4.2 Other possible baking paper use
The use of baking paper on the glass
To limit the dirtyness it is possible to put also the specifi c baking
paper on the glass:
1. Clean the glass with the specifi c cleaning kit. See chapter 5.2
2. Put the specifi c baking paper in that way that the overall glass
surface is covered. Do not exceed the glass surface.
5 - Cleaning, hygiene
Important!
Follow strictly those cleaning instruction to guarantee the right
functioning and life time of the appliance.
Other way or cleaning tools could damage the appliance and
be dangerous for the user.
Important!
Neither the appliance nor its individual parts are designed for
being put in dishwashers or being imerged or being sprayed by
water jet - except the front top cover.
Before using any cleaning product, be sure to read the instruction
and safety instructions delivered with the appliance and use
appropriate protective equipments and be sure that this cleaning
product is adapted for each materials which compose the unit.

The approved baking paper is 653694 (reusable for upper
heating plate and glass).
The use of baking paper with the appliance is mandatory and
has the advantage of having a better cleanliness of the appliance
during and after use.
6. Fix the (new) baking paper (only 653694) by engaging its two
sides under the clips. Do not lift the clips. Strength the paper
to avoid stripes. Take care that the baking paper is covering
the total surface of the stripes of the upper heating plate.
7. Put in place the upper heating plate
Warning:
·
The upper heating plate can be hot, if in or directly after use.
It is strictly advised to put or change the baking paper only
with a cold upper heating plate. If not, use protective gloves
for high temperature use.

Respect the right position of the upper heating plate: the
symbols «FRONT» must be in the front.

Guide the fl exible tube to avoid damages
Important:
The specifi c baking paper should be changed once a day before
fi rst used, if not damaged or dirty before.
Warning!:
The upper heating plate and the glass can be hot, if in or directly
after use. It is strictly advised to put or change the baking paper
only with a cold upper heating plate. If not, use protective gloves
for high temperature use.
Warning!
Use only the specifi ed baking paper with the appliance. The use
of not specifi ed baking paper can cause a fi re and/or considerable
damage of the appliance.
Important!
• Do not use products containing chlorine (chlorine bleach,
hydrochloric acid, etc. ), even if diluted, to clean the steel /
aluminium.
• Do not use corrosive substances (e.g. muriatic acid) to clean
below / close under the appliance.
Important!
The cleanliness of the appliance is strongly dependent of the
frequency of use, the type of sandwich to be cooked, and other
infl uences. The user is responsible for the cleanliness of the
appliance.
