TROUBLESHOOTING
Heating Problems
No Heat/Overheating
1. Is the Standby/Ready (system on) L.E.D. lit? If not, is unit
plugged in? If unit is plugged in press Standby/Ready button.
Does L.E.D. come on if just for a second? If no, go to
troubleshooting "No Power" on page 6.
2. Is "Add OzzyJuice" L.E.D. lit? If it is, unit is low on fluid. The
machine will not heat when the "Add OzzyJuice" light is on
and unit is low on fluid. Add fluid. If the low fluid light will not
go out, check to make sure the float on the probe is not stuck
in the down position. If not, go to Testing the Probe. Do all of
the tests in this section.
3. If the probe tests good, go to Testing the Heater below.
4. If both the probe and heater test good then the panel is
defective.
Testing the Probe
Unplug the SmartWasher. You will need an ohmmeter to test the
probe. Unplug the probe wires from the control panel. (The
machine will not come on at all with the probe unplugged). These
are the yellow, orange, and gray wires located on the right hand
side of the control panel.
Take the meter and place the probes on the gray and orange
wires. Find the float, which will be on the stainless steel rod
located inside the tank, to the left of the electrical box. If the float
is at the top stop, the meter should read closed (0 ohms). Push
down on the float so that it is at the bottom stop. At this point
meter should read open (infinity).
Next place the meter probes on the yellow and orange wires.
This measurement is temperature dependant and tests the
thermostat located inside the probe. Use the chart provided to
test.

Testing the Heater
You will need an ohmmeter to test the heater. Unplug the
SmartWasher. Remove the two heater wires from the ternimals
on control panel. Place the meter probes on the heater wires.
The heater should read 11-14 ohms +/- 5%. If it reads anything
else, the heater is bad.
