Side Burner
Lighting
•
Do not lean over grill while lighting.
1.
Turn OFF all gas burner control valves.
2.
Turn ON gas source or tank slowly.
3.
Open
lid and leave open during side burner lighting
and operation.
4.
Turn the side burner control
knob to _Hi.
Immediately
press the electronic
ignition
button for 3
to 5 seconds. You should hear a clicking
sound which
shows the electronic
igniter is working.
5.
Once burner has ignited,
turn knob to desired
heat
setting.
6.
If
ignition
does
not
occur
in 5 seconds,
turn
the
burner
control
knob to OFF, wait 5 minutes for gas to clear
away, and repeat the lighting
procedure.
Turn controls and gas source or tank OFF when
not in use.
CAUTION
If ignition does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the
burner controls OFF, wait 5 minutes and repeat
the lighting procedure.
If the burner does not
ignite with the valve open, gas will continue to
flow out of the burner and could accidently
ignite with risk of injury.
Match-Lighting
•
Do not lean over grill while lighting.

Open lid. Turn on gas at LP cylinder slowly.
•
Light burners one at a time.
Match
Lighting
the Main
Burners
1.
Place match into match holder (hanging
on inside
cabinet
door).
2.
Strike the match and position
lit match through the
grates and hold next to the burner.
3.
Push in and turn burner control
knob to _Hi. Continue
to press in on the control
knob until the burner ignites
or up to 5 seconds.
4.
If ignition
does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the
burner control
knob OFF, wait 5 minutes for gas to
clear away,
and repeat the lighting
procedure.
Match
Lighting
the Side Burner
1.
Place match into match holder (hanging on inside
cabinet
door).
2.
Strike the match and position
lit match next to the
side burner.
3.
Push in and turn side burner control
knob to _Hi.
Continue
to press in on the control
knob until the
burner ignites or up to 5 seconds.
4.
If ignition
does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the side
burner control
knob OFF, wait 5 minutes for gas to
clear away, and repeat the lighting
procedure.
5.
When
lit, turn the side burner control
knob to the
desired
heat setting.

Check
•
Remove cooking
grates and heat diffusers. Light
burners, and rotate
knobs from Hi to Low. You should
see a smaller flame on Low than you see on Hi.
Perform a burner flame check on the side burner as
well (if equipped).
Always
check flame
prior to each
use. If only low flame
is seen, then refer to "Sudden
flame
drop or low flame"
in the Troubleshooting
Section.
