Measuring Insulation Resistance
1.
Before connecting the unit to the test piece, make sure the unit is off.
2.
Follow the steps under "General Operation." Note meter reading. If voltage is present, do not
attempt Insulation Resistance Test.
3.
Press the START button to perform the test. To lock (hold) the START button for longer tests, press
the button and turn it clockwise.
Note: Check the reading every 5 minutes to ensure that the insulation has not broken down.
4.
To discontinue the test, release the START button. If the button is in the locked position, press and
turn it counterclockwise.
