Cutting Depth Adjustment

1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Loosen the depth adjustment nut and adjust the
cutting depth, using the graduations on the lower
guard to gauge the depth. When finished adjust-
ing the depth, tighten the depth adjustment nut
securely.
3. When wood material is 3/8" (10 mm) or less
thick, adjust the cutting depth so that the blade
protrudes approx. 3/16" (5 mm) from the bottom
of the material.

Collecting Dust

• Before cutting metal materials, always empty the
dust case by opening the front cover and remov-
ing the dust.
• Using the tool to cut metal materials when there
is flammable material in the dust case could
result in fire.
• When cutting metals, always use the tool with the
dust case attached. Flying sparks and metal chips
may cause injury.
• Do not carry or store the battery pack in the same
container as nails or similar metal objects.

1. Collect dust in the dust case.
• Empty the dust case when it is filled up with
dust.
• Empty the dust case before storing the tool.
• Dust case capacity:
– Approximately 130 cuts when cutting elec-
trical conduit with a diameter of 1" (25 mm).
– Approximately 75 cuts when cutting 2 x 4
lumber.
Note: Cutting some materials may cause dust to
become clogged inside the front cover.
2. Collect dust with a vacuum cleaner.
• Connect the tool to the hose using the vacuum
cleaner hose adapter (sold separately).
Compatible hose inner diameter: 1-3/16" to
1-1/2" (30 to 38 mm).
• Operate the vacuum cleaner according to its
operating instructions.
Note: If the tool has difficulty ejecting or collecting
dust, the dust outlet may be clogged with dust. Open
the front cover and remove any dust.
