To adjust, loosen the locking lever "F" (Fig. 1) and then,
using screw "E", move the guide runner "C" to the desired
position with respect to the cutter; lock with lever "F".
7. REPLACING THE CUTTERS
Disconnect the machine from the mains
electricity supply before carrying out this
operation.
In order to replace the cutters, the complete head of the
machine is first removed to make the operation easier. To
do this, take the locking lever "F" right off and turn the
screw "E" until the head is completely released (Fig. 2).
New blades must always be of the same
type, as the ones they are going to replace
(Fig. 12). If different blades are to be used,
the cutter-holder must be changed.
To change the cutters, first remove the screws that secure
the cutter-holder (Fig. 2) "H" and then the screws that
hold them in place "G". Once you have removed any dust
and resin, reassemble the cutter-holder around the axis,
making sure that each part fits correctly into the linchpin
"I" of the axis and squeezing the screws "H" tightly.
8. CHANGING THE CUTTER-HOLDER
Disconnect the machine from the mains
electricity supply before carrying out this
operation.
To change the cutter-holder, undo screws "H" (Fig. 2)
which fasten it to the shaft, remove it, and replace
with another cutter-holder of the right kind, making
sure when you mount it that each part fits correctly in
the shaft pin "I", and tightening up screws "H" securely.

9. OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

FITTING AND USING.
FITTING THE 3.5 m COUPLING FOR
EXTERNAL ASPIRATION 6446073
Fit the external aspiration connector "J" (Fig. 3) supplied
with the machine, securing it onto the head with bolt "K".
Screw the free end of the external aspiration coupling
"L" onto the connector "J" and connect the other end of
the coupling to the Virutex aspirators AS182K, AS282K
or other industrial aspirator.
The external aspiration connector "J" (Fig.
3) must never be fitted onto the machine
if an aspirator is not used, as this would
prevent the unimpeded exit of cut shavings.
USE OF THE RADIUS COPIER 9800150
The radius copier 9800150 permits straight chamfered
edges to be made on pieces with exterior circular curves.
Edge rounding or cutting on radius (R=5, 10 or 15) is
also possible using radius cutters 9841005. Moulding
profiles are only possible on completely circular pieces,
as these are shaped in one pass and in one direction only.
Disconnect the machine from the mains
electricity supply before fitting this
accessory.
Fitting the copier: Attach the stud "M" (Fig. 4) to the
front part of the guide runner "C" and place the spacer
bushing "N", the spring "O" and the copier support "Q"
onto it, securing the whole with the washer "R" and the
nut "S", ensuring that the lug "T1" of the copier support
is fully home in the slot "V1" of the guide runner.
Use of the copier: In order to make a shape on a piece
like that of (Fig. 5) with one end of circular sector, once
the cut has been adjusted as explained in section 6,
proceed in three phases as shown in (Fig. 5):
• Shape the two straight zones (Fig. 5-A), up to the
beginning of circular arc.
• Shape the circular part with the copier (Fig. 5-B). For
this purpose the copier must be adjusted by placing
the machine on the straight part of the piece, in such
a way that the cutter-holder is situated at the point of
departure of the circular arc "E" (Fig. 6); loosen the nut
"W", move the copier forward until the bearing "X" is
resting on the edge of the circular zone; then tighten
down the nut "W" again.
Then shape the entire circular arc, keeping in constant
contact with the edge of bearing "X" (Fig. 6), until the
latter enters the straight zone and the cut is gradually lost.
• Shaping the rest of the circular arc (Fig. 5-C). To do
this the copier must be changed side, without changing
its position on the support "Q" (Fig. 4). Back off the nut
"S", rotate the copier through 90° until the lug "T2" is
fully seated in the slot "V2"; secure in this position with
the nut "S". The rest of the circular arc is then shaped
as shown in (Fig. 7), with the other bearing "Y" serving
this time as a copier on the edge.
UTILIZATION OF THE BASE WITH GUIDE EXTENSION
9800050
