Meaning of the symbols
used on the device:
The symbol of a crosses-through wheelie bin means that the product
must be disposed of at a separate collection point within
the European Union. This applies to the product as well as to all the ac-
cessories marked with this symbol. Products displaying this symbol can-
not be disposed off in normal household waste but must be taken to a
collection point for recycling electric and electronic equipment.
The batteries must not be disposed of with household waste: users are
subject to a legal obligation to dispose of all batteries at a collection
point.
Important safety instructions
- If the breastmilk is intended for a premature baby, please follow your
doctor's advice carefully.
- This device is not suitable for use by people (including children) with im-
paired physical, sensory or mental capacities, or people who do not have
the experience or knowledge of how to do so, except where they are un-
der the supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety or have
received prior instructions concerning the use of the device.
- Attention should be paid to children to make sure they do not play with
the device.
- The breast pump only operates with the mains adaptor supplied. Please
make sure that the voltage of the electrical socket is compatible with that
of your mains supply.
- When this device's mains supply cable is damaged it must not be re-
paired but the complete mains adaptor must be replaced in order to avoid
all danger.
- When the batteries are worn out or when the device has not been used
for some time, the batteries must be removed. Using discharged batte-
ries could damage the device.
- Only use the comfort electric breast pump for its intended purpose as
described in these instructions.
- Never immerse the pump in water; there is a risk of electrocution and if
water penetrates the device it could damage the motor.
- Do not expose the device to direct sunlight because UV radiation and
overheating may damage its plastic materials.
- Keep small parts out of the reach of children: risk of swallowing.
- This device complies with the EMC standards that apply. However, in-
terference with other electrical devices may occur. As a consequence,
keep a certain distance from other devices during operation.
- Note that the manufacturer accepts no liability and gives no guarantee
where accessories other than those recommended in these instructions
are used or where repairs are carried out not exclusively using original
spare parts. This also applies to repairs carried out by unqualified per-
sons.
- In case of any malfunction, the device must only be repaired by the ma-
nufacturer. Where this is not adhered to, the guarantee becomes void.
- Never open the motor cover – this will render the guarantee void.
- The teat and bottle supplied comply with EN 14350.
Instructions for using the bottle and teat:

- Before each use, check that the teat is in good condition by pulling on
it several times and in all directions. Dispose of it at the slightest sign of
deterioration or brittleness. Replace bottles and teats at the first sign of
wear or weakness. Do not make holes in the teat yourself.
- Do not expose teats to sunlight or leave them close to a source of heat.
Neither should you leave them in a disinfectant product (sterilising so-
lution) longer than the time recommended by the manufacturer as this
could make the teat brittle.
- Continuous and prolonged "feeding" of fluids may lead to the appea-
rance of dental decay. Dental decay may occur in young children even if
they consume unsweetened fluids. Such decay may in fact appear if ba-
bies are permitted to use a bottle for prolonged periods of the day and
in particular at night when their saliva flow is reduced or where the bot-
tle is used as a dummy.

- Avoid leaving the child alone in bed with a bottle. Accidents may occur
should the child fall with the bottle or if the different parts of the bottle
come apart.
- Never use the teat as a dummy.
- For added safety, we recommend using this teat with bottles from the
Intuition range.

Guarantee
TIGEX gives a 24 month guarantee as from the date of purchase of the de-
vice subject to it being handled with care and in accordance with the ins-
tructions. In case of material or manufacturing faults, we undertake to re-
pair the device free of charge as long as it is sent to us postpaid. All other
claims will be subject to the laws in force. Damage resulting from inap-
propriate use of the device is not covered. The power lead and connec-
tor are excluded from the guarantee, to the extent that it is a matter of
normal wear. During the first 24 months as from the date of purchase,
we will correct defects recognised as such without invoicing for ancillary
costs. In all cases, the device must be returned to us accompanied by
the guarantee certificate duly completed or the till receipt certifying pur-
chase of the device, otherwise the date of purchase must be proved in
some other manner. Failing proof of purchase, costs will be chargeable
without further request for clarification and the device will be returned
against payment. Please ensure that the guarantee certificate is filled in
immediately at the time of purchase and keep it or the till receipt care-
fully proving purchase of the device. Lost guarantee certificates cannot
be replaced. If a claim needs to be made: keep the reference and batch
numbers.
On request TIGEX can provide circuit diagrams, components, descrip-
tions and any other information that may be useful for maintenance staff
for use in repairing repairable devices by maintenance personnel.
