Hose
• This Bosch concrete vibrator GVC 20 EX must be
used only in connection with BOSCH hoses F 000
600 390 and F 000 600 494 with 30 mm Ø coupler
and F 000 633 000 and F 000 633 001.
• Place both motor and hose on a flat surface.
• Spread hose (7) out, with the flex shaft pointing to
(4).
• Pull hose lock-up pin (3) and insert the coupler of
the flex shaft (5) into the spindle (4) and push the
metallic portion of the hose so that the lock-up pin
(3) gets into the hole (6).
• Release the lock-up pin's (3) shaft.
• Be sure the hose is well connected.
Head
Once the head must be disassembled in order to
be coupled to the flexible shaft, which demands
technical maintenance expertise, the assembling/
disassembling of the head must be performed
exclusively by an authorized Service Center of the
12
Bosch Power Tool Service System.
Working instructions
• Only switch the tool on when you are ready to
start working.
• Keep proper/safe footing and perfect balance.
• Don't try to get to places you can't reach.
• Let the head enter the concrete by its own weight.
Do not force it to penetrate into the mix, thus
preventing the hose to bend or the motor to
become overcharged.
• The condensing time varies from 10 to 20
seconds per insertion. The concrete will be
condensed when it looks shiny (creamy) and no air
bubbles come to the surface. An excess time will
cause segregation (separation of sand, crushed
stones, and cement) and loss of concrete's
resistance. Follow up the job's progression
carefully.
• The head's insertions must take place at
distances 8 to 10 times the head's diameter, e.g.,
30 mm heads = distances of 30 cm, 35 mm
heads=distances of 35 cm (Fig. A). When
overlaying, the head should reach the lower layer
with a penetration of 10 to 15 cm in order to ensure
a good cohesion of the layers (Fig. B).
Fig.A
• Remove the head slowly from the concrete with
the tool still running, thus preventing bubbles or
blowholes on the condensed surface.
• Avoid the prolonged contact with forms and hard
materials, so as not to damage the forms and to
avoid that the head becomes twisted.
Attention!
• Never transport the concrete vibrator by the
electric cord and do not pull the thread to turn it off.
• Protect the electric cord during use, to avoid that
it be damaged.
• Don't turn off the motor with the head inside the
concrete.
• Don't keep the motor turned on with the head
outside the concrete. This procedure reduce the
working time of the head's rollaments and keeping.
Precautions!
• Clean the hose and the head after the using, to
not damage the tool.
• Keep the concrete vibrator strictly clean,
protected and packed.
Maintenance and cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
