safe disconnection operation from the
computer, hold down the RECORDER
ON button for approximately 3 seconds.
Then, the screen shown above will appear.
Before disconnecting the USB cable, make
sure that the screen shown above appears
on the display.

Remove the Beat Boy from the computer.

Drag the drive icon on the desktop into
the Trash. Alternatively, select "Eject
Beat Boy" from File menu.

Remove the Beat Boy from the computer.

If an error occurred while the Beat Boy
was disconnecting from the computer, or if
the batteries have been removed during a
recording, play back of a recorded file will not
be possible and an error message will appear.
If this occurs, use a USB cable to connect the
Beat Boy to a computer, and then try running
Chkdsk (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac OS X)
from the computer. If the issue is still not improved,
follow the procedure below to format the unit.
All of the data on the Beat Boy will be
erased during a format procedure.
