Weak or dead battery.
Corroded battery terminals.
Loose or damaged wiring°
Faulty solenoid or starter,
Cutting too much grass/too fast,
Throttle in"CHOKE" position,
Build-up of grass, leaves and
trash under mower,
Dirty air filter,
Low oil levelldirty oil
Faulty spark plug,
Dirty fuel fiIter,
Stale or dirty fuel.
Water in fuel•
Spark plug wire loose.
Dirty engine air screenlfins.
Dirty/clogged muffler_
Loose or damaged wiring,,
Carburetor out of adjustment
Engine valves out of adjustment.
Worn, bent or loose blade.
Bent blade mandrel.

CORRECTION
Recharge or replace battery.
Clean battery terminals,,
Check all wiring.
Check/replace solenoid or starter.
Raise cutting height/reduce
speed,
Adjust throttle control,
Clean underside of mower
housing,.
Clean/repface air filter,
Check oil level!change oil.,
Clean and regap or change spark
plug.
Replace fuel filter,
Empty fuel tank and refill tank with
fresh, clean gasoline,,
Empty fuel tank and carburetor,
refill tank with fresh gasoline and
replace fuel filter.
Connect and tighten spark plug
wire,
Clean engine air screen/fins.
Cleanlreplace muffler°
Check all wiring°
See "To Adjust Carburetor" in
Service and Adjustments section.
Contact a Sears or other qualified
service center_
Replace blade. Tighten blade bolt
Contact a Sears or other
qualified service center..
