Tesmed Max 830 (e.g. during parameter setting), you must recharge the battery immediately before
starting any treatment.
To recharge the Tesmed Max 830 battery, disconnect all the cables, plug in the battery charger and
connect the low voltage connector to the electro stimulator (fig. 2 pag. 123).
We recommend recharging the battery immediately after purchase.
Complete recharging of the battery takes approximately 8-10 hours.
During the first phase of recharging (the first 3-4 hours), the symbol
it is steady and so the equipment is ready for use. For max autonomy, we recommend continuing with
the recharging for a total of 8-10 hours. The battery charger can always stay connected to the Tesmed
Max 830 for a longer period without damaging the equipment. After complete recharging, you may
find that the display is blank.
- IF THE DEVICE DURING THE FIRST LOAD DOES NOT READ THE "FULL CHARGE" OF THE BATTERY
AND THERE IS STILL THE SYMBOL OF THE FLASHING BATTERY ,
THE DEVICE THEREFORE IS FULLY USEFUL AND THE READING OF THE FULL LOAD WILL REACH
MAINLY WITH THE SUCCESSIVE LOADS.
Never recharge the equipment when the cables and electrodes are connected to a person
and never recharge the battery by using a different battery charger: always use the one
supplied with the equipment. Do not short-circuit the battery.

Replacing the battery

The Tesmed Max 830 works thanks to a rechargeable battery at the rear of the equipment. Its
performance may drop after multiple recharging.
Should the battery's autonomy be far lower than normal, you must replace it with another battery. NB:
use only Tesmed approved battery types.
• To access the battery compartment, simply remove the removeable belt hook and slide the cover as
shown by the arrow (fig. 3 pag. 123).
• The battery is connected to the equipment by means of a connector; to replace the battery, extract
it and then slide the connector out from the equipment (fig. 4 pag. 123).
• Take special care over the connection when inserting the new battery: the connector has a flat
surface on one side that must be inserted facing upwards (fig. 5 pag. 123).
NB: Used batteries must be disposed of properly to protect the environment.

Connections

The electrical pulses generated by the Tesmed Max 830 are transmitted to the muscles by means of self-
adhesive electrodes. Before switching the Tesmed Max 830 on and before using the intensity command,
always apply the electrodes to the body part to be treated and then connect them via the cables to the
Tesmed Max 830: insert the pins on the bipolar cables in every pair of electrodes used for the stimulation
and then connect them to the equipment by inserting them in the relevant colour coded seat on the rear
of the Tesmed Max 830 (fig. 6 pag. 123). If this procedure is not followed, there is the risk that the
equipment will exceed a set threshold and so produce an error message. Thanks to an in-depth study
and the TMS "Tesmed Multiplexer used System" technology used in the Tesmed Max 830, the equipment
is designed to work correctly without having to apply a specific polarity to the electrodes, thus making it
easier to apply, connect and use.

Disconnecting the electrodes

After treatment, disconnect the pins on the bipolar cables as shown figure 7 opag. 123. Take care not
to pull the connection cables from the electrodes.
