General notes regarding connection of 3 phase
asynchronous motors
If the power lines with phase sequences L2, L1 and
L3 are connected to the connection points U1, V1 and
W1 as shown below, the motor rotates anticlockwise,
viewed from the shaft end. The direction of rotation can
be changed by switching between 2 phases.

The above shown motor data indicates that at a nomi-
nal supply voltage of 400V / 50Hz, the motor must be
connected to delta connection. Furthermore, power
consumption is 7,2A (at 460V / 60Hz the power con-
sumption is 6,4A).
The earthing terminal on the motor casing is intended
for potential equation, and does not replace the ground
terminal in the connection box.
Rotation of the blower rotor is clockwise when viewed
from the suction side. Failure to do this will drastically
reduce capacity.
Please note, that the blowers TRL 20/40 (50Hz) and
TRL 30/50 (60Hz) normally must not be operated
without the use of a venturi. Otherwise, the motor can
be overloaded. The venturi can, however, be left out
if the air capacity of the blower is limited in a way that

the rated current of the motor is not exceeded (see

Start:
Blower
In cases where the blower is equipped with air intake
regulator on the air intake, remember to lock it in
the start position, before starting the blower. The air
intake regulator is limiting the blower's air capacity in
order to lower the load on the motor and thereby the
consumption of amp during the start.
Note: It is only necessary to lock the air intake
regulator, if the reduction in amp consumption is
demanded by the local power supply.
When the blower is at full speed, release the air
intake regulator again (TRL 500 can be delivered with
automatically controlled air intake regulator).
When working, the air intake regulator maintains a
uniform air volume, even when the back pressure
varies during operation. This reduces the load on the
blower motor. The air intake regulator is sealed from
the factory and must not be adjusted.
If the blower is equipped with a manual star delta
switch, the blower must always be started in star
position, and when the rotor no longer accelerates,
it must be switches to delta position, whereby full
performance is achieved.
NOTE - Since electric motors' power consumption
during start-up is up to 6 times greater than full
operating current, a properly dimensioned fuse will
melt, in case the motor is not started in star position.
