the alarm did not receive a signal during the
day, it may well be that the signal is received
at night, immediately and at full strength.
The weather, e.g. a heavy storm, can cause
interference with the reception.
Temporary shutoffs of the transmitter
can sometimes happen, e.g. because of
maintenance work.
