Replacement of batteries:

(A) instrument back

CAUTION:
To ensure that the instrument is water proof:
seal ring (C) must be in position
battery compartment cover (D) must be fixed with the two screws
If the batteries are removed for more than one minute the date and time menu starts auto-
matically when the photometer is switched on the next time.

Intended use

The TIR 200 IR is a portable turbidity meter, based on the requirements of ISO 7027 (Water
Quality – Determination of Turbidity). The instrument features auto ranging over the range
of 0.01 to 1100 NTU/FNU.
The turbidimeter is supplied in a case complete with accessories and spares. Calibration
Standards guarantee stability and reproducibility of the results. Always replace the cover on
the sample chamber to protect against dust.
Always adhere to the limits specified in chapter "Technical Data". To ensure correct and
intended usage, the instructions, especially the "Important Safety Information", have to be
read and understood.
The instrument is not used as intended if
it is used in application areas not stated in these instructions.
