Primary by-pass
The adjustable by-pass valve located on the manifold-separator serves the purpose of controlling the hydraulic separation between the
primary and secondary circuits, thereby rendering the available distribution circuits hydraulically independent. In the case of two or more
interconnected manifold separators (centralised boiler), the only by-pass to be opened is that of the manifold upon which the connection
to the boiler circuit is present; all of the downstream units must have their adjustment by-passes closed in order to avoid progressive
temperature variations (Figure 7).

Differential overpressure by-passes
MULTIMIX distribution kits are equipped with overpressure by-pass valves. The differential overpressure by-pass valve for the high and low tem-
perature kits has the purpose to prevent circulator pumps from operating under conditions far from the design ones. These devices also prevent
imbalance between simultaneously operating circuits, as well as bothersome noises resulting from the increase in the speed of the fluid flowing
through the regulators. The by-passes for the distribution kits can be regulated between 0.2 and 0.6 bar. Each device must be set to a value
which is slightly higher than that of the pressure losses on the most disadvantaged circuit. However, it is advisable to consult the designer directly.
4. OPERATIONS ON THE INSULATING CASE
Circulator pump installation
If using GRUN04 electronic circulators, these must be installed AT A
RIGHT ANGLE, as shown in Figure 10.In order to close the casing, how-
ever, holes must be cut into the polypropylene using a cutter and follow-
ing the appropriate grooves (Figure 9, cut A). If using GRUN03 traditional
circulators, these must be installed in a horizontal position, as shown in
Figure 3, with no need for any additional modifications. If using GRUN03
circulators installed at a right angle, or circulators of a different and more
cumbersome typology, larger holes may have to be cut. For this reason,
additional grooves (Figure 9, cut B) can be found on the casing in order to
provide for precise cutting.
Combining various modules
When various MULTIMIX modules are lined up, a portion of the polypropy-
lene must be removed with a cutter in order to allow for perfect adhe-
rence between the casings (Figure 10). The cuts to be performed are
indicated by grooves (lines C and D in Figure 9).
5. TABLES FOR THE SELECTION OF CLIMATE REGULATORS
Legend of names and symbols
LT:
Low temperature mixing module
HT:
High temperature direct output module
Fixed point/manual:
Low temperature mixing module with fixed point adjustment
Modulating climatic:
Low temperature mixing module with servomotor adjustment and climate regulator
Radiators:
High temperature module for supplying radiators and towel heaters
HSW production:

* In these configurations, the Remote BM timed thermostat is optional: The use of the Remote BM allows for the output temperatu-
re to be modulated even based on the room temperature. If this function is not required, a simple on/off (timed) thermostat can
be used.
