Attaching the Hardware
1. Connect the appropriate end of the included USB cable to a
spare USB port on your computer, and the opposite end to your
1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher LS.
Note: It is recommended that the 1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher LS
is connected directly to one of the computer's USB ports, and not
through an external USB hub.
2. Turn on the 1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher LS. Windows will
display information about the new hardware that it detects, and
may take a few moments to finish setting up support for the
new hardware.
Note: You may be prompted to locate the driver installation files for
the USB-Serial device (PL-2303). If so, click the "Browse..." button
and navigate to the folder where these files were copied.
3. The Comm Port setting must be on COM 3. To check this,
click on Start, then right-click on My Computer. From
the context menu, choose Manage to open the Computer
Management window. From the left-hand pane, choose Device
Manager.
