Commissioning

First-time commissioning
Prior to starting the unit for the first time, insert the rechargeable battery
into the battery compartment and load the MDU via the USB cable for
12 hours at the computer. Later loading processes will only take 8 hours.
Switching on
To switch the MDU on, press the On/Off switch
The MDU starting menu appears. The MDU is
ready for use.
Switching off
To switch the MDU off, press the On/Off switch
Note:
Following the set Auto off time (see page 79), the MDU switches off
automatically (manufacturer's setting: 300 sec.). The lifespan of the
rechargeable batteries can be prolonged by switching the MDU off
immediately after use.
Do not leave the MDU with the programming cable plugged in.
High discharge rate of the rechargeable batteries!
