6. Lubrication – stud/screw (6), needle

Replacement of Parts

Nozzle (2) and Needle (7) – Remove
parts in the following order: 10, 8, 7, 1
and 2. Replace any worn or damaged
parts and re-assemble in reverse order.
Recommended tightening torque for
nozzle (2) 17-20 Nm (150-180 lbf in)
Packing – Remove parts
Unscrew cartridge (4). Fit new cartridge
finger tight. Re-assemble parts 7, 8, and
10 and tighten cartridge (4) with spanner
sufficient to seal but to allow free
movement of needle. Lubricate with gun
oil.
Pressure Gauge (15)- This device is used for setting the air inlet pressure to the
spraygun.
Attach the gauge assembly to the male stem on the handle of the spraygun. (This can
be done with or without the air line attached)
Attach the air line to the inlet of the gun (if not already on) and pull the trigger to the air
only stage.
Adjust the air pressure at the regulator supplying the spraygun to give the desired pres-
sure reading on the gun gauge.
De-trigger the gun and remove the gun gauge before commencing the spray operation.
Note: Do not allow the gauge assembly to come in contact with solvent or be placed
into a gun cleaning machine.
Spanner – order SPN-5
Cleaning Brush – order 4900-5-1-K3
Service Kit – order GTi-416 add nozzle size as required (i.e. GTi-416-14)
Pressure gauge Attachment – order GA-515
Gun Mounted Regulator – order DVR-501
Lubricant - order GL-1-K10
(7) and air valve (11) should be oiled
each day.
Air valve – Remove parts 6 and 12.
Unscrew valve assembly. Re-assemble
fitting spring to valve head
Spreader valve – Caution: always
ensure that the valve is in the fully open
position by turning screw fully counter-
10, 8, 7. clockwise before fitting to body.
