SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

WARNING: Tubing breakage may result in fluid being sprayed from pump. Use appropriate measures to
protect operator and equipment.
WARNING: Turn drive off before removing or installing Cassettes. Safety guards are provided to minimize
risk of fingers getting caught between the roller mechanism and the base of the module.
However, be safe—Keep your fingers away from these areas.
CAUTION: Excessive occlusion can cause high pump temperatures and early tubing and roller failure.
Do not set occlusion tighter than what is recommended in Table 3.
CAUTION: Large Cassette 72-557-100 should not be used with Microbore tubing links—may result in
premature tubing failure.
These products are not designed for, nor intended for use in patient connected applications; including, but
not lim-itedto medical and dental use, and accordingly have not been submitted for FDA approval.
