Checking Function; After Use - Dräger Oxidem 3000 Instrucciones De Uso

Preparation
1 Connect Oxidem 3000 to an O2 pressure reducer using a
screw connector.
Or
Connect Oxidem 3000 to the central gas supply system using
a gas probe.
Requirements for the gas supply: 3 to 6 bar.

Checking function

1 Squeeze and release the bag of the manual resuscitator.
With Oxidem 3000 connected, the bag must re-expand within
about 1 second.
Operation
Triggered by the negative pressure of the expanding bag or by the
inspiratory effort during spontaneous breathing, Oxidem 3000 will
supply an oxygen flow until the bag of the manual resuscitator is
filled.

After use

1 Close the oxygen cylinder and unscrew the screw connector
from the pressure reducer.

The information printed on the spiral hose regarding a flow of max.
80 L/min at 320 kPa (3.2 bar) refers to operation with a ventilator.
The spiral hose does not affect the Oxidem 3000 flow rate of
150 L/min.
NOTE
Do not connect Oxidem 3000 to a flow control valve as it will not
function properly.
2 Insert Oxidem 3000 into the intake port of the patient valve as
far as it will go.
3 When using with the Laerdal manual resuscitator or the Ambu
Mark 3 manual resuscitator, use an adapter.
Observe the instructions for use for the respective manual
resuscitator.
2 Detach Oxidem 3000 from the patient valve.
