Change Engine Oil
!
WARNING
DO NOT attempt any maintenance, adjustments or service
with engine and blade running. STOP engine and blade.
Disconnect spark plug wire and secure away from spark
plug. Engine and components are HOT. Avoid serious
burns, allow sufficient time for all components to cool.
1. Drain the fuel tank completely.
2. Remove the dipstick (A, Figure 14), then turn the
mower on its side. Allow the oil to drain from the oil
fill tube into an appropriate container. Dispose of
used oil properly.
3. Place the mower upright, then fill the engine with
engine oil to the 'full' mark on the dipstick. Refer
to the section entitled 'Oil Recommendations'. Do
not overfill.

Service Air Filter
!
Never start or run the engine with the air cleaner assembly
(if equipped) or the air filter (if equipped) removed.
NOTE: Do not use pressurized air or solvents to clean
the filter. Pressurized air can damage the filter and sol-
vents will dissolve the filter.
1. Loosen the fastener (A, Figure 15) that holds the
