Program the desired temperature (if required)
Press and hold 'Auto' until the display flashes, press
set the desired temperature. Wait or press 'Auto' to go to
Automatic mode.
In automatic mode a sensor in the handset measures the room
temperature. The controller compares the temperature and
valve setting and makes any adjustments required to the flame
height.
Program the timer (if required)
Press and hold 'Timer' until P1* flashes. Set the time for the
beginning of the first heating period by pressing
and
for minutes. Press 'Timer' again and P1» appears. Set the
time (using
) for the end of the first heating period. Now
press 'Timer' again to set the second heating period P2* and
P2». Wait or press 'Timer' again to go to timer mode. In timer
mode the » symbol appears in the display, if the current time is
outside either heating period.
Using the remote control in different modes:
Manual flame adjustment (MAN)
Press
to turn on the main burner and increase the flame
height. Press
to reduce the flame height or turn down to
pilot only.
Note: The 'send' symbol appears in the display when either button
is depressed.
The 'Led' on the receiver (mounted on the back of the stove)
flashes when the ends of the valve travel are reached.
Temperature controlled operation ('Auto')
Briefly press 'Auto'. The set temperature will appear before the
display reverts to the room temperature.
Timer control ('Timer')
In the ON times there is the same temperature control as in
'Auto' mode. When the timer program returns to » the motor
will turn the control to pilot position. You can press 'Auto' to
verify the temperature setting and then press 'Timer' to return
to timer mode.
Note: If the appliance is left unattended for longer periods (e.g.
vacation), the combination control should be turned either off or
to pilot position.

Manual Override

Pressing
or
at any time will revert to manual flame control
(manual override).
Switching off after use
It is recommended that you turn the appliance off using the
button before manually turning off to make sure that the
handset does not remain in 'Auto' or 'Timer' mode and use up
battery power unnecessarily.
Changing the Batteries:
If the display shows ''Batt'' , the 'Led' on the control box (on the
back of the appliance) goes dim or the control knob fails to
turn correctly, replace the batteries.

Safety shut off:
If the receiver (on the back of the appliance) does not receive a
or
to
signal for 2 hours, the main burner will shut off. Making another
command with the remote handset will restore operation.
Note: Press either
appears in the display before switching the transmitter to 'Auto'
or 'Timer'. Also check that the 'Led' on the control box receiver
(mounted on the rear of the appliance) lights when the 'send'
symbol appears.
Control of the temperature
for hours
The temperature is controlled by activating the motor for a
specific length of time to adjust the flame height. The flame
height depends on things such as the room size, temperature,
heating effect, battery power etc. The controller measures how
quickly the room temperature increases when the fire is on
and adjusts the length of time for the next on cycle. After a few
cycles, the fire may remain on low or cycle between low and
off if the heating effect is sufficient to maintain the room
temperature. This enables the fire to stay on longer than cycling
from high to off.
