Switching on second or third heating circuit (triple-circuit heating element)
► Turn the knob to symbol j or k and then turn it back to the desired power
level.
─ A clicking sound indicates that the second or third heating circuit is switched
on.
─ If the knob is left at the symbol j or k, the cooking zone is operated at
maximum power level.
Switching off
► Turn the knob to position «0».
─ The operating indicator is off.

Pots and pans

■ Use only electric hob pots and pans with solid and flat bases on the glass-
ceramic cooktop. The base of the pots and pans must be at least 2.5 mm thick
and consisting of multiple layers.
■ Do not use pots or pans with sharp grooves or edges on the base, as these
could cause scratching on the cooktop and damage to its decor.
■ We recommend using pots and pans with external stainless steel layer.
■ The bases of pots and pans made for electric hobs are slightly concave. The
curvature disappears however when the pot is heated up due to expansion, so
that the base of the pot or pan is in proper contact with the cooking zone
across its surface.
■ The pots and pans must not wobble when placed on an even surface.
► Place the pot or pan exactly on the cooking zone marking of the cooktop. The
size of the bottom of the pot or pan must correspond to the size of the cooking
zone.
Pan bases made in aluminium or aluminium alloys can leave behind
abrasion marks that are difficult to remove.
Use only pots and pans that are suitable for use on glass-ceramic cooktops.

Before using cooktop for the first time

Switch on the cooking zones without pot or pan and operate them at the
highest power level for five minutes. This eliminates any odour that might
occur when using a new appliance.
