Recirculating Kit (Optional)
When used in recirculation mode, to reduce the risk of
Fire and Shock, use only conversion kit Model
HVREC5UC.
If it is not possible to vent cooking fumes and vapors to
the outside, the hood can be used in the non-vented
(recirculating) mode, using the recirculating kit. Fumes
and vapors are recycled through the round grid.
Installation through the soffit / cabinet
Depending on your recirculating installation, take into

Measure and mark the centerline of the cabinet to the

Measure from the bottom of the cabinet to the

centerline of the where the vent will come through the
soffit. Mark the location and use a saber saw or
keyhole saw to cut a 5 ¾" (14.6 cm) hole for the
recirculating grid.
Install the recirculating grid with the 2 provided

Charcoal Filter Replacement (optional)
Notes
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned. It must be

replaced every 4-6 months (depending on hood
usage).
Do not rinse, or put charcoal filter in an automatic

dishwasher.
