This set contains a safety valve (A) and instructions (B).
Application
• The safety valve can be used in a closed heating or cooling system. (glycol max. 50%)
• Only use the valve in a dry and frost-free location.
• Min./Max. system temperature: -10 ºC/+120 ºC
Safety
Check whether the maximum load and the opening pressure that are indicated on the valve match
the values of the system.
The opening pressure has a pre-set value; do not change this!
The following points are important to ensure a good operation of the valve and the safety of the
installation.
• Only have the installation carried out by qualifi ed personnel. Comply with local legislation and
guidelines.
• Fit the valve to the installation and use for this the special spanner indentations (C).
• Carry out the installation on a system that is not under pressure.
• Only fi t the valve once the pipes have been thoroughly fl ushed and brought under pressure.
• Do not weld or solder in the vicinity of the valve.
• Fit the valve in the supply pipe close to the boiler.
• Pay attention to the arrow that indicates the fl ow direction.
• Do not place a circuit breaker (D) between the boiler (E) and the valve.
• The diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes may not be smaller than the inlet and outlet con-
nections on the valve.
• Ensure there is a free outlet opening (circuit breaker installation) under the fall and directly
connected to the outlet of the valve (e.g. Flamco funnel F)
• Beware of steam from the exhaust: it can cause burns!
• Never fi t the valve with the inlet or outlet pointing upwards (G-H).
• Check the valve annually using valve lights and fl ush through the valve thoroughly. Seal the
valve afresh.
• If the valve regularly blows off steam during use, consult the installation specialist.
Release the pressure from the system. There is a danger of burns! Hot water can fl ow out of the
system. Remove the valve.
Environment
Comply with local legislation when disposing of the valve.
According to the directives for pressure equipment 97/23EG
