Application
The fingerprint module SFPM 611...
in the Steel design is an access
control system which is used both in
standalone operation (independent
unit) and also in the Siedle Vario bus.
By reading in a fingerprint at the
SFPM 611... a function (e.g. estab
lishing the door release contact) is
actuated in the system.
The SFPM 611... can manage up
to max. 100 users (importable user
fingerprints).
Actuation of a function (e.g. door
release)
To actuate a function, for example
a door release, a potentialfree
contact is available directly in the
SFPM 611...
(Closing time 3 seconds)
The fingerprint module SFPM 611...
functional unit is referred to in the
following as FPM.

General information

Electrical voltage
Mounting, installation and servicing
work on electrical devices may only
be performed by a suitably qualified
electrician.
Conductor material
In standalone operation, light cur
rent conductors type YR 0.8 mm
core diameter can be used for the
installation.
Telecommunication cables must be
used for installation on the bus side

Range
With a core diameter of 0.8 mm, the
range between the transformer and
the FPM is limited to 130 m.
Conductor routing
In order to comply with the general
safety regulations for telecom
munication systems in accordance
with VDE 0100 and VDE 0800, and
to prevent electrical interference,
ensure separate routing of heavy
and light current conductors.
A distance of at least 10 cm must be
maintained between heavy and light
current conductors.
Remark relating to the installa-
tion site
The FPM can be used both indoors
and outdoors.
If using the FPM out of doors,
choose a location which offers the
best possible protection from the
elements.

Product description

1 Operating mode
The FPM has three different oper
ating modes and a delete mode.
• Master mode (switch position 1/
asdelivered status):
One master fingerprint and up to
100 user fingerprints can be read in.
• Administrator mode (switch posi
tion 9):
One administrator fingerprint, up to
5 master fingerprints and 100 user
fingerprints can be read in.
• Group administrator mode (switch
position 5):
One group administrator fingerprint,
up to 5 group master fingerprints
and up to 100 user fingerprints
(optionally distributed across the
groups) can be read in.
• Delete mode (different switch posi
tion to 1, 5 or 9):
All fingerprints which have already
been read in are deleted.
Which types of fingerprints exist
and what can they do?
Depending on the set operating
mode, there are:
• One group administrator finger
print
• Between one and five group
master fingerprints
• One administrator fingerprint
• Between one and five master fin
gerprints
• Up to 100 user fingerprints
Group administrator fingerprint
Issues entitlement to scan in
max. 5 group master fingerprints.
Group master fingerprint
Issues entitlement to scan in/delete
up to max. 100 user fingerprints
which can be distributed over
5 groups (added up over all the
