Administrator fingerprint
Issues entitlement to scan in
max. 5 master fingerprints.
Master fingerprint
Issues entitlement to scan in max.
100 user fingerprints.
User fingerprint
Entitled to actuate the function (e.g.
door release). Only user fingerprints
can actuate this switching function.
Each fingerprint can only assume
one function.
To ensure that you have a record
later on of the different entitle­
ments, we advise noting down the
fingerprints and the people they
belong to in the attached fingerprint
table.
Before filling in, make a copy of the
fingerprint table.
Remarks
• If you adjust the rotary switch for
setting the operating mode, the FPM
is returned to its as­delivered status
and all fingerprints read in to date
will be deleted.
• Only one master fingerprint can
enable the authorization to read
user fingerprints.
• Only one group master fingerprint
can enable the authorization to read
user fingerprints within its group.
• Individual group master, master or
user fingerprints cannot be deleted
in standalone mode. i.e. only the
complete group can be removed at
a time.
• In order to delete group master or
master fingerprints, the FPM must
be reset to the as­delivered status.
(see delete mode)
• The group master fingerprint is
entitled to delete the user finger­
prints in its group.
• The group administrator finger­
print can delete the user fingerprints
of all groups. In this case, the group
master fingerprints are retained.
• In bus operation, individual fin­
gerprints can be selectively deleted:
For read­in and deletion of finger­
prints, the programming interface
PRI 602­..., the programming
software PRS 602­... and a PC are
required.

Note
All installed functional units are
completely pre­assembled in the
Steel system. All that is necessary is
connection to the installation.
Connection takes place via the ter­
minal PCB.

system manual, which is enclosed

Changing the operating mode
In order to operate the FPM in accor­
dance with special requirements,
before commissioning you must
have set the relevant operating
mode. The operating mode is set
from the back of the module.
The FPM is in the master mode in its
as­delivered status.
Note
To set the required operating mode
(0 to 9), the FPM must be energized.
5 Setting the operating mode
• Unscrew the FPM at the mounting
plate, tilt forward at the top and
remove the mounting plate.
• Open the flap on the back of the
module with the aid of a screwdriver.
• Set the required operating mode
(0 to 9) at the rotary switch. Once
the required operating mode has
been set, close the flap and replace
the module.
Possible operating modes:
1 = Master mode
5 = Group administrator mode
9 = Administrator mode
0, 2..4 and 6..8 = Delete mode
