Administrator mode
Scan in the administrator
fingerprint
Conditions:
• Administrator mode is set (switch
position 9)
• The device is initialized
• The red LED lights (as­delivered
status)
Note
The fingerprint you scan in first
in the administrator mode is the
administrator fingerprint.
Procedure
• Draw the administrator fingerprint
over the sensor.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, then the red LED lights
up.
• Draw the administrator fingerprint
over the sensor again.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, after which the red LED
lights up.
• Draw the administrator fingerprint
a third time over the sensor.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, after which the green
LED lights up continuously.
The administrator fingerprint has
now been scanned in and is valid.
It is now possible to read in master
fingerprints.
Note
If a finger has been drawn over
the sensor and not recognized, the
red LED flashes for 3 seconds, after
which the red LED lights up continu­
ously.
Repeat the scanning­in process.

Scan in the master fingerprint
Conditions:
• The administrator fingerprint has
been read in.
• The LED lights up in green (oper­
ating mode).
Procedure
• Draw the administrator fingerprint
over the sensor once. The green LED
flashes for appr. 3 seconds, then the
red LED lights up.
• Draw the master fingerprint over
the sensor.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, after which the red LED
lights up.
• Draw the master fingerprint over
the sensor again.
The green LED flashes appr. 3 sec­
onds, then the red LED lights up.
• Draw the master fingerprint over
the sensor a third time.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, after which the green
LED lights up continuously.
The master fingerprint has now been
scanned in and is valid.
If you wish to scan in additional
master fingerprints (max. 5), repeat
the above described procedure.
Or
If you now wish to go on to scan in
user fingerprints, jump to the section
"Scan in user fingerprint".
Note

Scan in the group administrator
fingerprint
Conditions:
• Group administrator mode is set
(switch position 5)

group administrator fingerprint.
Procedure
• Swipe the group administrator
fingerprint across the sensor.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, then the LED lights up
red.
• Swipe the group administrator fin­
gerprint over the sensor again.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, then the LED lights up
red.
• Swipe the group administrator fin­
gerprint over the sensor a third time.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, then the green LED lights
up continuously.
The group administrator fingerprint
has now been read in.
It is now possible to read in group
master fingerprints.
Note
