8 OPERATIONAL FEATURES

The Style 9323 Navigator Pro Controller is easy to use and intuitive . Once configured, the operation is simple . Basic op-
eration of the controller is described below .

8.1 Opening and closing the valve

To open the valve, press the green button . To close the valve, press the red button . As soon as the button is released,
the valve will stop moving . To continue opening or closing the valve, continue to hold the open or close button . The only
exception to this is if Auto Open is enabled . Auto Open enables the user to fully open the valve with one press of the
open button . The only time this will happen is if the valve is all the way closed and the open button is pressed . To cancel
the auto open, press the open or closed button again at any time . This will stop the valve and allow it to be adjusted to
the appropriate position .

8.2 Preset operation

The Navigator Pro will save up to 3 valve positions . After the positions are saved (see setup section for programming
details) the preset positions can be selected and the valve can be quickly sent to those positions . To send the valve to
the preset position, simply press the ■ PRESET button . If multiple presets are saved, the first one will start blinking . If
that is the desired preset position, press the ■ GOTO button and the valve will go to that position . If the second or third
preset is desired, press the ■ Next button until the desired preset is blinking and then press the ■ GOTO button and the
valve will go to that position . The presets are labeled P1, P2 and P3 for normal operation . If CAFS is enabled, the presets
are labeled D, M and W for Dry, Medium and Wet . When the valve is at a preset position, the preset will be highlighted in
green .

9 RETROFIT INSTALLATIONS

If retrofitting to a currently installed valve is necessary, refer to the appropriate retrofit kit that will contain the correct
cable to adapt to an older system as well as an independent motor driver . Contact Customer Service for more informa-
tion .

10 MAINTENANCE

The 9323 Navigator Pro Controllers require very little maintenance . The display should be cleaned with water only to
prevent any damage from chemicals or cleaning agents . To clean, wipe with a damp soft cloth and dry . Be sure to use a
non-abrasive cloth so the display does not get scratched .

11 SOFTWARE UPDATES

The Navigator Pro controller contains pre-loaded operating software in both the display and in the motor driver . From
time to time it may be necessary to update the software . There are two methods for updating the software .
1 . Update via USB port
2 . Connect to the system with AkroView to update the software .

11.1 OBTAINING THE LATEST SOFTWARE

The latest software files can be found on the 9323 product page on the website . They will be located under the "Down-
load/Updates" tab . There are two files that are required to fully update the system; one for the display and one for the
motor driver . These will be named 9323 .xyz and 6025 .xyz . The appropriate software files can also be obtained by con-
tacting Akron Brass Customer service or Technical Support .
These files will need to be saved to a USB drive (customer provided) and should be saved in the main directory, not in
any sub-folders .
