The laboratory hot plate is not to be used as a storage or working surface.
The laboratory hot plate must not be placed in furniture niches during operation.
The laboratory hot plate must never be immersed in water.
Explosion hazard!
Danger of electric shocks!
Fire hazard!
Risk of tripping!
Place the laboratory hot plate on a stable, horizontal surface. The area under the hot plate must be non-
combustible!
Choose a flat, clean, dry and non-slip surface.
For safety reasons, the laboratory hot plate may only be used for the purposes described in these
operating instructions.
! When working with harmful and aggressive media:
Risk of poisoning and chemical burns! Risk of damage to the device by aggressive gases or vapours.
Only use the laboratory hot plate underneath an exhaust system!
Operation under a recirculating air conduit may accelerate damage to the device!
When using the optional compressed-air facility (Order No. 28 541 6595), the laboratory hot plate will be
supplied with compressed air.
Failure to comply with the above information may cause the laboratory hot plate to give

rise to hazards such as electrical accidents to human beings or fire hazards. In the case
of unauthorised manipulation of the laboratory hot plate and negligent or deliberate
damage, the warranty will lapse.

Never use the laboratory hot plate in places where there is risk
of explosion!
Never use the laboratory hot plate in areas with running water
and high humidity, e.g. bathrooms.
For safety reasons, keep the laboratory hot plate at least 50 cm
away from inflammable material!
Never route connection cables in highly frequented areas!
