SAFETY INFORMATION
• To reduce the risk of injury, charge only HCSD040 4V lithium rechargeable
screwdriver, other products may burst, causing personal injury or damage.
Specific Safety Warnings for Screwdriver
• Hold power tools by their insulated gripping surfaces when performing an
operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring. A cutting
accessory contacting "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool
"live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
Specific Safety Warnings for Non-contact Live-Wire Detector Function
• Never insert the screwdriver bit into a power outlet to detect the wire voltage. Failure
to obey this warning could cause electric shock and other serious personal injury. Do
not use the tool to detect AC voltage in uninsulated, exposed or free wires.
• Do not use the tool as a substitute for a voltmeter.
• The non-contact live-wire detector is designed to help locate live wires operating at
mains voltage (100-230V AC); never use it to detect other types of current. Failure to
obey this could cause serious personal injury and damage the tool.
• Be aware that this tool is not designed to detect wires behind wall board, plaster,
paneling, etc.
• Use this tool to detect complete circuits in wall switches, electrical outlets, power
cords and extension cords.
• The following conditions can cause inaccurate results:
— Low battery
— Shielded cables
• Before use, always test the tool by detecting a known live wire.
• If in doubt contact a qualified contractor.

WARNING: This tool will not detect wires in circuits isolated from the mains supply,
cables operating at direct current (DC) or wires used for telecommunication or computer
systems. Hidden wires may not be detected.
