Installation of filters is permissible:
• In fuel oil consumer installations in a single conduit system with return supply with type
500ERAZ and in a double conduit system (suction) with the types 500ZAZ
• In fuel oil consumer installations in a single conduit system, in central oil supply systems
(ZÖV) and as pre-filters in pipe systems with type 500EZ, it is possible that an additional
shut-off fitting must be installed upstream of the filter
• Above and below the oil tank crown
• In piping with an operating pressure PO thanks to the pump installed, the filter should be
selected according to the specified maximum admissible pressure PS depending on the
filter cup
As a result of thermal expansion in blocked piping – e.g. due to a non-return valve
being installed – pressures which are higher than the maximum admissible pressure
PS may occur, we recommend the installation of a safety device to protect against
overpressure in suction lines e.g. a pressure compensation valve type DAV7
Part no. 15 550 00 or a pressure compensation valve type DAV7P in pressure lines
Part no. 15 550 15.
In piping with excess pressure, a filter installation location underneath the oil tank
crown or for temperatures > +60°C as well as for possible static build-up, the use of a
metal filter cup or the replacement filter is recommended!
Static build-up is possible at high flow rates.
CONSTRUCTION LAW REQUIREMENT
Within the scope of application of the Industrial Safety Regulation (with TrbF 50), the
filters must be arranged above the tank crown and, additionally, above a collection
area or above an oil containment basin with protective equipment which switches off
the pump in the event of an oil leak. Due to inspections, the filters should be installed
in the oil line in easily accessible areas.
ASSEMBLY
Before assembly, check that the product is complete and has not suffered any damage during
transport.
Installation, maintenance and start-up may only be carried out by companies that are
specialist companies for this work in terms of Section 3 of the German Ordinance on
Facilities Handling Substances Hazardous to Water (VAwS) from 31 March 2010 (Federal
Law Gazette, P. 377).
