Switching On and Off
To start the machine, press the On/Off switch 6.
When starting the machine for the first time, a
starting delay is possible, as the electronic sys-
tem of the power tool has to configure itself first.
To switch off the machine, release the On/Off
switch 6.
Setting the Speed/Impact Rate
The speed/impact rate of the switched on power
tool can be variably adjusted, depending on how
far the On/Off switch 6 is pressed.
Light pressure on the On/Off switch 6 results in
low speed/impact rate. Further pressure on the
switch increases the speed/impact rate.

Overload Clutch

 If the tool insert becomes caught or jam-
med, the drive to the drill spindle is inter-
rupted. Because of the forces that occur,
always hold the power tool firmly with both
hands and provide for a secure stance.
 If the power tool jams, switch the machine
off and loosen the tool insert. When swit-
ching the machine on with the drilling tool
jammed, high reaction torques can occur.
Temperature control of the battery:
The red LED 9 lights up continuously after inser-
ting the battery into the charger: The battery is
not within the charging temperature range bet-
ween 0 °C and 45 °C and cannot be charged.

Working Advice

Plug insertion/screwing without acces-
sories
Your tool will allow the direct installation of some
types of plugs with a hexagon head (concrete
screw type) or a nut (anchor studs type) in a
standardized size SW13 (see diagram 18 page
2).
 To install a plug directly with the tool, remove
the drill bit from the SDS PLUS chuck.
Choose the nut setting on the maxi-
mum screwing speed selector 16.
This position will limit the rotation
speed and reach the best torque load
available on the tool.
 Put the plug in the hole and apply the tool to
the plug head. Start the tool while holding pres-
sure on the plug to the desired insertion depth.
The screws used must not have a diameter
of more than 8 mm and/or must not require a
torque load in excess of 15Nm.
Even if the speed is limited, it is advisable
to release the speed variator gradually at the
end of travel in the screwing process to pre-
vent excessive torque return.
 Regularly clean the SW13 chuck of the tool
and grease it lightly.
Plug insertion/Screwing with accessory
Your tool has an accessory kit (see diagram 19
page 3) enabling you to install some types of
plugs without removing the SDS PLUS bit from
the chuck so that you can quickly chain together
drilling and plug insertion operations.
The supplied accessories enable you to install
some types of plugs:
● equipped with a hexagon head (concrete
screw type) or a nut (anchor stud type) of SW13
or SW10 standardized sizes,
● equipped with Pozidriv (PZ) or Torx (T) heads.
To install the desired plug, when you have drilled
the hole:
 Slip the extension accessory over the drill bit
and click it into the SW13 chuck of the tool.
 Choose the bit corresponding to the desired
plug (SW10, SW13, /, PZ2, T30, T40), and fit it
at the end of the SW13 extender.
 Select the nut or screw setting on the maxi-
mum screwing speed selector 16:
