PROPER USE
SECURING LONG KAYAKS
1. To secure long kayaks: feed one end of tie down rope (D) through hole
in hook (E) and knot. FIG. 18.
2. Hook tie down rope (D) to a metal surface on bumper, tow loop, or
frame hole using hook (E). FIG. 19.
3. Feed other end of tie down rope (D) through a grab handle or rescue
bar on rear of watercraft, pull until tie down rope is tight, then knot to
secure. FIG. 20. Tie off any excess rope.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for securing watercraft to front of vehicle. Secured
watercraft should look as shown in FIG. 21.
