c. Ensure that there is at least 25 cm. walking space around the outside of the tent. At the rear of
the tent there must be at least 40 cm. free space.
d. If you have multiple possibilities, then choose where the opening of the tent is least likely to
catch wind.
e. The length of the included tension rope is the distance you should have between the two anchors.
Attention: This refers to the distance between the cross plates of the two anchors (on which the
hinges are attached).
Attention: The location of the anchors should be determined very carefully, because if the
anchors are not placed carefully, the tent will not be erected properly. Therefore, please check
the distance using a flexible steel rule / tape-measure. The distance for the SunnyTent size M
tent should be 4,42 m. and for the size L tent, 5,4 m.
Temporarily use two plastic secure pegs to determine the location of the anchors. Pin one of
the two secure pegs where you plan to place the first anchor. Attach the tension rope to the peg
by means of a loop and fasten the fastener entirely, until the rope reaches its maximum length.
If done correctly, the end of the rope is automatically the place of the second anchor. Pin the
other secure peg in the ground on that location. With a tape measure, check the distance
between the two secure pegs. It should measure exactly 4,42 m. for a SunnyTent size M and
5,40 m. for size L. If you wish to assemble the SunnyTent over an already present swimming
pool, please also use the tension rope / tape measure to decide on the location of the anchors.
Two people should hold the rope / tape measure above the swimming pool and place the
secure pegs right underneath the ends of the rope / tape measure to mark the placement of
the anchors.
f. Use a hammer to hit the two anchors into the ground at the location of the two secure pegs.
The hinges of the twisting block should be located on the outside of the tent, otherwise the
tent can loose its stability and may collapse. Check from time to time that the anchor is still at
right angles to the rope on the ground. Twist the anchor slightly to adjust, if necessary. As the
hinge of the anchor approaches the ground, please turn the hinge/block, so that the pins are
kept on top. This prevents you from hammering the pins into the ground. If this is completed,
continue hammering. Do not hammer the anchors too far into the ground; leave some space to
twist the hinge/block with the pins. The result: the two anchors are in the right position.
Step 3: Slide the tent poles in the canvas
a. Place the canvas / tent foil on the ground and unfold it as demonstrated in the instruction video
(see www.sunnytent.com). This video will show you how to turn over the first canvas band, so
that the SunnyTent logo appears. This means you are ready to slide in the poles in the first blue
(or grey) tunnel of the canvas.
b. Now it is time to put the tent poles in the blue (or grey) tunnels of the tent. There is a total of
7 sets of tent poles. For each tunnel (also 7 in total), start by placing the little plastic cap on the
top of the pole set, then two people slide the pole set inside through the tunnel. One person
stays at the start of the tunnel and pushes the pole set further into the tunnel, the other
person moves with the poles and making sure the tunnel stays tight, and that the pole set can
slide through easily. Attention: Never pull on the pole set! Only push it! If you pull, the parts of
the poles will come loose.
Every tunnel has an opening halfway through. In the first and last tunnel of the tent, there are
