Heating
Pool heating is composed of two phases:
• Initial temperature phase in which temperature increases at the beginning
of the season.
• Temperature maintaining phase
Temperature increase
As soon as you wish to use your swimming pool at the beginning of the season,
isolate your heat pump from the filtration circuit:
• Close downstream and upstream by-pass valves.
• Open setting valve.
• Then proceed through all the usual initial operations (filling, treatment,
washing of the filter..., and:
• Open the by pass valves
• Turn filtration pump on.
• Turn pool heat pump on, set temperature, set water flow.
• Cover the pool with solar cover or other.
Leave the pool system and pool heat pump working permanently until the pool
has reached the required temperature. It will take approximately 36 hours to 1
week.
Don't forget to set the water flow and required temperatures.
The time for the pool temperature to increase depends a lot on type of pool
cover, exposure of swimming pool to wind, sun and heat pump size.
Maintaining the temperature
Once the temperature you require is reached, you can reduce the filtration period
according to the temperature requirements. The pool heat pump will re-start
automatically when necessary.
Don't forget to use a thermal cover on the pool in order to maintain the heat of the
water pool.
IMPORTANT: A pool without any cover will loose 4 times more energy than a
pool with a cover.
