if an intrusion event is detected (green LED on), it activates
the microwave detector immediately (orange LED on); if this
one also confirms the existence of a moving body, the alarm
status is generated (red LED on).
Caution! – When the top cover of HSDOM21/22 is removed,
the system remains active. The detector has protections
against removal and opening.
HSDOM21/22 transmits a signal to the control unit every 28
minutes to indicate that the system is running; this is neces-
sary for the "supervision function" present on the control unit.
The detector has a Double Alarm function: it can send a sin-
gle alarm (dip-switch 5 = OFF) or two alarms with different
codes if a second detection is made within 30 seconds (dip-
switch 5 = ON). This allows the detector to be programmed
in AND mode at the control unit, further reducing the possibil-
ity of improper alarms.
2 - INSTALLATION
Warnings
• Determine the fastening position and height for HS-
DOM21/22 depending on the protection area to be
obtained: see fig. 2.
• Carefully check the shape of the area to protect; if in doubt,
prior to the final installation, it is advisable to fasten the
product temporarily and run tests, and then make any nec-
essary adjustments.
• The special design of the infrared sensor lens creates a sen-
sitive "curtain" area. If the detector is positioned vertically,
the sensitive area is horizontal (parallel to the ground); if the
detector is positioned horizontally, the sensitive area is verti-
cal (curtain protection with barrier effect): see fig. 2 A.
2 - English
• In models HSDOM21/22 the shape of the infrared sensor
lens creates a sensitive area which is up to 12 m long with a
90° opening angle. The HSDOM22 model offers additional
coverage with a sensitive area that ranges from 12 to 22 m
long with a very tight angle (narrow beam). It is important
to carefully evaluate these factors according to the area to
protect, in relation to possible insensitivity to animals and
considering the risk of rapid transit through the area.
• To install the product in a corner, use the adjustable joint
mod. HSA3 (optional accessory): Caution! – The use of the
joint excludes the anti-removal protection as the magnet
remains on the bracket; in this event, the system does not
comply with standard EN50131.
01. Select the bracket fastening position, ensuring that it is
compatible with the overall dimensions of the detector:
it must be possible to reach the release lever (fig. 3), and
enough space must be available to release and attach
the detector.
02. A - Wall mounting: drill two holes for the insertion of the
wall plugs and one hole for the magnet, which is required
for the anti-removal protection. Then, fasten the bracket
with the plugs (fig. 4-A);

the joint to the wall (see its instruction manual) and then
fasten the bracket to the joint as shown in (fig. 4-B);
03. Open the container by loosening the 4 rear screws (fig. 5);

phase (see the instruction manual of the control unit);
05. Open the battery compartment as shown in fig. 6 and
remove the insulation tab that keeps the batteries dis-
