4 - BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Caution! – Never use battery types different from the
specified version. The batteries must be replaced all
together (with new ones). Do not combine batteries of
different brands or models. Do not use rechargeable
batteries.
Caution! – Before releasing the detector from the
mounting bracket, the control unit must be set to
"CONTROL UNIT TEST" mode to avoid improper tam-
pering alarm signals.
01. To release the detector from the mounting bracket, use
the special attachment lever (fig. 3).
02. Slide the detector upwards by approx. 5 mm to move it
away from the mounting bracket (fig. 3).
03. Open the container by loosening the 4 rear screws (fig. 5).
04. Open the battery compartment as shown in fig. 6 and
replace the batteries. Observe the specified polarity.
05. Close the detector by tightening the 4 rear screws (fig. 8)
and attach HSDOM21/22 to the mounting bracket (fig. 9).

5 - BATTERY DISPOSAL

Caution! – The batteries used in this alarm system, even
when discharged, contain polluting substances and therefore
must not be disposed of as household waste. Dispose of
according to separate waste collection procedures as envis-
aged by current local standards.
