GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Shower enclosures of Projecta by Jacuzzi
complete and tested. However, the various parts are packaged sepa-
rately to facilitate transport and delivery to the room where the shower
will be installed. Upon receipt, always check that the packaging is
undamaged so that claims can be made against the transport company
if necessary.
The shower enclosure can only be installed in a corner with finished
(tiled) walls without a skirting board. Installation in small confined
spaces may cause problems for the assembly and/or maintenance. The
assembly of the shower enclosure and its installation must be per-
formed by strictly following the instructions, preferably by two people, as
several of the parts are rather heavy.
Shower enclosures can be installed on finished (tiled) floors, as the
space available between the floor and the flat base is sufficient for the
drainage lifter rod and its siphon, already fitted in the factory, on the
base. A flexible pipe with a 40 mm diam. is supplied as an accessory,
for a correct connection to the drain.
The shower enclosure are supplied with the panels required for a cor-
ner installation. The shower enclosure shall also be attached to both
walls (see technical information sheet).
DRAINAGE
It is recommended to connect to a drain in the wall, close to the floor;
the flexible pipe supplied makes it quick and easy to connect the
shower enclosure to this drain (ref. 1).

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

In all the models equipped with electronically-controlled functions, you
must provide for the connection of the electric box, which is fastened to
the framework of the shower enclosure (ref. 2), connected to the electri-
cal supply and correctly earthed. The cable may follow various routes as
long as there are no improvised connections. In all cases, refer to the
"Electrical safety" chapter.
HOT/COLD WATER SUPPLY
The hot and cold water supply pipes must have an adequate diameter
to satisfy the functions of the model chosen (minimum diameter 14
mm).
The outlets for the tap connections must project from the wall or floor,
and end with a 1/2"male attachment (see technical sheet, ref. 5). Dur-
ing installation, these outlets must be connected to the mixer unit inlets,
using two high capacity flexible hoses (intern. diam. 10 mm), with 1/2"
male-female attachments.
The normal operation of the equipment requires the following: an ade-
quate supply and pressure of hot and cold water and the use of pipes
as described in the previous paragraph and in the specifications on the
information sheet.

shower enclosures are class "I" appliances
and must therefore be fixed firmly and connected permanently,
without intermediate connections, to the electrical mains and the
earth system.
The electric network and earth system of the building
must be in working order and must comply with the
provisions of the law and specific regulations in force

with safety regulations for bathrooms. This standard multiple-pole
switch must guarantee a contact opening of at least 3 mm and be
suitable for voltages of 220-240V and currents up to 16A.
The electric switch and devices must be located in an
area that is not accessible to the user while the appli-
ance is in use, in compliance with regulations.
The installation of electrical devices and appliances (sockets,
switches, etc.) in bathrooms must comply with the legal require-
ments and standards of each country. In particular, no electrical in-
stallation is permitted within 60 cm of the shower enclosure or at
a height of less than 225 cm.
For connection to the electric network of the building, a cable with
a protective sheath having characteristics not inferior to type H 05
