MOUNTING AND WIRING YOUR FIXTURE
WARNING: Deviation from the assembly instructions
may result in the risk of fire or electric shock.
1. Turn off power at the main fuse/breaker box.
2. Attach universal mounting bracket (G) to recessed
junction box. Junction box must be at least 1-1/2
inch in depth for proper installation (Fig. 3).
3. Thread fixture wires through coverplate
gasket (B) (Fig. 4).
4. If the supply wires coming from you house are
solid, you can use the Quick-connect™ wire
system to attach your Cooper Lighting, LLC light
fixture. Quick connectors can only be used with
solid wire supply leads. Simply insert the black
supply wire from your house into the quick connec-
tor with black wire coming from the fixture. Repeat
for house white wire, matching to the connector
with the white wire. Push both wires firmly into
holes to insure that they are seated properly and
securely (Fig. 5). It's that easy! Proceed to Step 6.
5. If the supply wires coming from your house are
stranded, remove the quick connectors from the
end of the light fixture wires by turning them
repeatedly from left to right while pulling.
Repeat until they are both removed.
NOTE: Quick connectors can only be used with
solid wire supply leads. Do not attempt to use with
other electrical fixtures! These connectors are
designed to withstand the temperature and voltage
requirements of this Cooper Lighting, LLC product
only. Once the connectors have been removed, connect
black wire to house black wire and connect white wire
to house white wire using the wire nuts (F) provided.
6. Connect the ground wire coming from your house
to the ground wire on mounting bracket (G) using
the wire nuts (F) provided.
7. Attach fixture to mounting bracket (G) using center
bolt (E) provided.
8. Apply silicone caulk around the edges of coverplate
and any open screw holes for a watertight seal.
9. Insert gaskets (C) into lampholders and screw
bulbs into each lampholder (Fig. 6). (Do not
overtighten bulbs.)
10. Turn on power at mainfuse/breaker box.
OPERATING YOUR FIXTURE
1. Remove the lens by gently squeezing the lens
frame sides and then pull out straight (Fig. 7).
2. Slide the "TIME" Switch to the "T" position.
3. Slide the "SENS" Switch to the "M" position.
4. Reinstall lens. For installation above 12 feet, insert
lens with "NEAR" on top of the lens frame. For
installation below 12 feet, insert lens with "FAR"
on top of the lens frame.
5. Aim bulbs at least 1/2 inch away from sensor and
slightly downward so water will not fill lampholders.
(Use lampholders to adjust lamp direction, not the
bulbs. The bulbs may break if they are used to
adjust the lampholders!)
6. Turn on the power to the fixture. Lights will turn on
for approximately 40 seconds.
7. Walk across the detection zone at the farthest
distance you wish your detector to detect motion.
(Lights will turn off approximately 4 seconds after
all motion has stopped.)
8. If you need more range, remove the lens and set
the "SENS" switch to the "H" position. If even more
range is required, rotate and reinsert so "FAR" is on
top of lens frame. To reduce range, remove the lens
and set the "SENS" switch to the "L" position. To
reduce the range even more, rotate and reinsert the
lens so "NEAR" is on top of the lens frame.
9. Move the "TIME" slide switch to "4" for 4 minute
mode or "12" for 12 minute mode to control
how long your lights stay on at night after motion
is detected.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Cause / Solution
Outdoor Lights
No power to the fixture.
Do Not Come
• Check if circuit breaker tripped.
On With Motion
• Confirm wall switch is ON.
At Night
Bulb is faulty.
• Replace bulb.
Surrounding external ambient light is too bright. (If so, the unit may
think it is daytime.)
• Cover the photocell with tape.
TURN OFF POWER BEFORE CONTINUING
Wiring to the unit is loose.
• Check wiring, and reconnect if necessary using wire
nuts (F) provided.
Outdoor Lights

trees, traffic, etc.
Apparent Reason
TEST FOR YOURSELF.
At Night
• Cover the sensor lens with cardboard to prevent sensor from
detecting motion. If the light stays off, something in the detection
zone is triggering the sensor.
• If this is the case, reduce the sensitivity.
* If the light stays on with the sensor lens covered, contact
customer service.
