Safety

In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding the handling of the
appliance. This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations. Incorrect usage can
lead to personal injury and property damage.
Do not cover the appliance!
Covering the appliance can lead to overheating
and thus result in a fire!

Basic Safety Instructions

For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety
information:
Before use check the appliance for visible external damage.
Do not put into operation an appliance that is damaged or has
been dropped.
If the appliance's mains power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer
service department or by a qualified technician, so that risks
can be prevented.
This appliance may be used by children aged 8 over and by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are un-
der supervision or have been told how to use of the appliance
safely and are aware of the potential risks. Children must not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks
must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
Children younger than three years old should be kept away
from the appliance unless they are constantly monitored.
Children older than 3 and younger 8 years of age may only
switch the appliance on and off if they are supervised or inst-
ructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood
the resulting dangers, provided that the appliance is located or
installed in its normal operating position. Children older than 3
and younger than 8 years of age may not plug in, regulate or
clean the appliance and may not carry out user maintenance
tasks.
