1. Generals
Mosquitoes not only bug you with their incessant buzzing,
they also bite! Most kinds of mosquitoes prefer to be active
at dusk; they come out of their hiding places and are attrac-
ted to light and smells. Before you are awake half the night
hunting them down, you should take preventive measures
and get rid of any mosquitoes in your rooms. Our Gardigo Fly-
ing Insect-Killer with UV LED light will help you do so. Close
the windows and switch the appliance on about 60 minutes
before using the room. The UV LED light with its special
ultra-violet light (364 nm) will attract the mosquitoes which
are then killed quickly and painlessly by the integrated high-
voltage mesh.
2. Notes on operation
For the most successful results, please keep some points
in mind when starting up and using the device. Insects are
known to be attracted by light and odour.
• Hang or place the device in a spot somewhere in the room
that is as dark place possible and far away from another
light source.
• Make sure that there are no people or food nearby as they
would likewise attract insects and this may reduce success
of the device.
• Insects avoid drafts, so do not hang the device in the win-
dow. Close any windows and doors.

• Start the device in the evening. The device should be used
when people are not present. Mosquitos are attracted to
smells, light or colour. If smells are excluded, it is more
likely that the mosquito will be attracted to the UV light.
Turn the device on 30 to 60 minutes before going to sleep;
as soon as you go to bed, place the lamp in the hallway;
this will keep more mosquitos away.
3. Safety instructions
• Only operate the device at its intended voltage.
• In case of repairs, only use original spare parts, to avoid
serious damage.
• Check feed cables and conducting cables connected to the
device for breaks or insulation defects. If you find a defect,
or there is visible damage do not use the device.
• Repairs or other works, e.g. changing a fuse, etc. may only
be carried out by an appropriately trained, skilled person.
• It must be noted that operator or connecting errors lie
outside the influence of Gardigo and we cannot accept any
liability for resulting damages.
• Always check whether the device is suitable for the respec-
tive place where you intend using it.

Note: the response of each animal to our devices may vary.
The development of our devices, methods and application tips
are based on experience, testing and feedback from our custo-

function of attracting flying insects is only given to insects
that react to light.
