4.3 Counting Errors
If there are continuous counting errors, proceed as follows:
-
Make sure the bills are positioned neatly in the hopper tray.
-
Verify that the counting sensors are not affected by particles of dust or of
some other nature.
-
Make sure that the thickness adjustment gap is in the proper position for that
bill.
-
If the equipment displays continuous error messages related to the MG and
UV functions (A0-A1-b), consider reducing the sensitivity.
4.4 Thickness Knob Adjustment
If there are continuous errors during counting or the EC error message
appears frequently during operation of the equipment, the thickness knob
most likely needs to be adjusted.
The adjustment screw is located on the back of the unit. If the screw is turned
to the right (-), the opening where bills enter the equipment from the hopper
tray narrows, making the bills run tighter. Turning the screw to the left (+)
widens the gap, making the bills run more freely.
NOTE: For new bills, it is recommended to leave the gap narrow. For used and worn
bills, it is recommended to widen the gap.
