Heated Seat Switch Wiring (SUV and Avalanche Only):
58. The accessory body wire harness is common for both SUV
and pick-up; however, the switch connector branch and the
purple and yellow wires of the harness are not used on the
SUV. This unused portion needs to be coiled-up, wire tied
(trim excess length) and stowed above and forward of the
junction block, out of harms way - see Figures 53 and 54.

Install Heated Seat Switches (SUV and Avalanche Only):
59. Remove driver's door trim panel and upper extension trim
panel - refer to Service Procedure 1741457.
60. Replace driver's door handle assembly with the one included
in the accessory kit (which has the heated seat switch) - refer
to Service Procedure 1743248.
61. Connect heated seat switch connector to the driver's door
lock and side window switch - reference Service Procedure
1673958.
62. Reinstall driver's door trim panel assembly and upper exten-
sion trim panel.
63. Repeat for passenger's door trim panel and door handle/
heated seat switch assembly.
Reinstall Driver's and Passenger's Front Seats:
64. Reinstall driver's front seat, seat belt, and associated trim
covers.
65. Reconnect existing vehicle body harness to seat wire
harness.
66. Remove rosebud clips from both accessory body harness
jumper seat in-line connectors - see Figure 55.

67. Connect accessory body harness jumper to driver's seat
accessory harness connectors and reinstall connector
cover - see Figures 56 and 57.

68. Reinstall passenger's front seat, seat belt, and associ-
ated trim covers.
69. Reconnect existing vehicle body harness to seat wire
harness.
70. Connect accessory body harness jumper to passenger's
seat accessory harness connector and reinstall connec-
tor cover - see Figures 58 and 59.
NOTE: Make sure accessory body harness is posi-
tioned as shown reward of the wiring channel, below the
moving seat track, and out of harms way.

Final Steps:
71. Reconnect negative battery cable.
72. Re-zero the Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence Sys-
tem - refer to Service Procedure 1468565.
NOTE: Not required for 2009 Model Year and beyond.
73. Program heated seat module (all vehicles) and driver/
passenger's door switches (SUV and Avalanche ONLY) with
the latest calibration in the Service Programming System -
refer to Service Procedure 1265170.
74. Refer to vehicle owner's manual for operating heated seats.
