To stop
Motor off.
• Disengage the blade from the
groove.
• Reduce the motor speed before
stopping.•Turn off the water.
Emergency stop
(engine) :
Release the dead-man's handle.
Emergency stop
(diesel engine)
:
Speed control set to minimum
speed
Emergency stop
tic advance):
Press the emergency stop button
(the machine will automatically
move
backwards
Returning the controller to 0 posi-
tion then to the on-position will
start up the advance again.

Incidents during sawing
• Several causes may be responsible for
stopping the blade in the saw groove or
the machine :
Tension the belt.
Lack of fuel (petrol or diesel).
Too rapid an advance or descent, etc.
Automatic advance
- Protection fuses burnt out.
- Power supply (30A)
- Converter (5A)
• In all cases, disengage the blade from the
groove and make a complete check of the
machine.

Maintenance (with the engine

stopped)
After each use CLEAN the machine.
LUBRICATION
• The spindle bearings must be greased
after 8 hours of use, with a grease gun by
pumping three to five times the grease
into the greaser of the bearings. Only use
a Super lithium 12 based grease in com-
pliance with the NLG1 GRADE 2 consis-
tency.
• Every 40 hours :
• Cleaning and greasing the chain.
"Engine Maintenance" : refer to
the engine maintenance booklet.
OIL
• Check
ENGINE OIL daily. Read engine
owners manual for OIL and OIL FILTER
change intervals. Use :
SAE 10W30 motor oil with API class
MS, SD, SE or better for PETROL
engines.
API class CD or CE for Hatz diesel.
Dispose of the old oil as laid
down by the regulations in force.
• To empty the motor, place a funnel at the
drain outlet (V) [SEE FIG. 3].
AIR FILTER
• Read engine owners manual for mainte-
nance intervals. For extremely dusty
conditions you may have to clean the air
filter element 2 to 3 times a day.
• Replace any damaged filters or gaskets.
Store in a safe place out ot reach
(automa-
of children.
Remove all adjustment tools and
wrenches
Store diamond tool in a safe
slightly).
place so it cannot be bent or
damaged.
HYDRAULIC UNIT
• Check that the tank is 2/3 full of hydrau-
lic oil. Filled with AZOLLA ZS 46 or any
oil with viscosity of 3.9 to 4.1 (grade 46)

Tensioning and loading of the
belts
• After a certain amount of use, it may be
necessary to reasonably tighten the belts.
To do that:
Loosen the screw (M) of the seating [SEE
FIG. 3].
Swivel the base.
Tighten the screw (M) (tightening
torque 100xNm).
The belt is changed by swinging the
housing (5B) aside, and slackening
the screws (G) [Fig. 2]. If necessary
when fitting the new belt, depending
on how much tolerance there is on its
length, you can dismantle the flasque
assembly.
Procedure identical to disk installation.

Governor settings
• Engine speed is preset at the factory for
proper sawing speed. It should be periodi-
cally verified.
• To change governor setting, refer to engi-
ne manual.
Never go over maximum blade
capacity and cutting depths.
13
Important recommendations
• Tighten all the nuts and bolts regularly.
• Check the tension of the belt, stretch it
slightly.
• When storing the machine, we recom-
mend removing the blade and storing it
carefully.
• Tighten the blade firmly. Preferably use the
disc on the right of the machine to spread
the load on the spindle-carrier bearings.
• To avoid continuous pressure in the
hoses, you are advised to rest the front of
the chassis on a piece of wood.
If the battery does not need any
servicing, the battery clips must
be maintened in good condition.
In the event of prolonged immo-
bilization, disconnect the clips
and recharge the battery to keep
it in functioning condition.
• Make sure the contact faces of flanges,
blade and axle are clean.
The manufacturer declines all
responsibility for loss or damage
resulting from misuse or any
modification, alteration or powe-
ring that does not conform to the
manufacturer's original specifi-
cations.
At the work station, the sound
pressure level may exceed 85 db
(A)
In this case individual protection
measures must be taken.
When working in a limited or clo-
sed area, make sure that the ven-
tilation is adequate. The exhaust
gases contain carbon monoxide
(exposure to this toxic gas can
cause loss of consciousness and
can be fatal).
