When the parent receiver is charging on the base unit, the 'Power on' indicator (9) is red
and when the batteries are charged it is green.
• To switch on the unit, press the 'On/off' button (2). The 'Power On' indicator (5) must light
up. To switch off the unit, press the 'On/off' button for a few seconds.
RECEPTION
• Reception is automatic as soon as the transmitter and receiver are switched on.
• There are two reception modes:
- sound via the loudspeaker on the receiver.
- visual via the light indicators (6) which vary according to the intensity of the sound made by
the baby.
• VOX MUTING: the Babycall HD uses Vox Muting technology which switches the receiver to sleep
mode in the absence of sound. The unit switches on automatically as soon as a new sound is
detected.
TEMPERATURE AND ALARM INDICATOR
• The baby transmitter detects the room temperature and automatically transmits the
information to the parent receiver.
• Below 18°C (64°F) or above 28°C (82°F), an alarm rings on the parent receiver and the light
indicator (6) and the temperature display (15) flash.
• It is possible to switch off this alarm by pressing the light display 'on/off' button (1). The °C
(or °F) logo will flash to indicate that the room temperature is still outside the
recommended temperature range.
• If the room temperature is lower than 0°C (32 °F), the temperature display (15) will show
"LO". If the room temperature is higher than 37°C (99°F), the temperature display will show
"HI".
• It is possible to change the temperature measurement unit from °C to °F. To do this, open
the battery compartment on the parent receiver (7) with a screwdriver and remove the
batteries. Put the unit temperature control button to the desired position. Replace the
batteries and close the compartment.
SIGNAL LOSS ALARM
• In order to avoid a loss in communication, the parent receiver is equipped with an alarm
system in the event of signal loss.
• In the absence of a signal, an alarm rings on the parent receiver and the signal reception
display (16) flashes.
• It is possible to switch off this alarm by pressing the light display 'on/off' button (1). The
signal reception display (16) will continue to flash to indicate that the connection between
the two units has not been re-established.

BATTERY LEVEL
• The baby transmitter and the parent receiver both have a battery level
indicator.
• The baby transmitter 'Power On' indicator will flash every two seconds and an
alarm will ring on the parent receiver to indicate that the batteries are low.
• The baby transmitter will stop automatically after 10 seconds and the parent receiver will
stop after 20 seconds in order to avoid damaging the batteries.
VOLUME CONTROL
• The parent receiver has different volume levels: 1-5 and silent.
• Press the arrow at the top of the volume control button (3) to increase the volume and on
the arrow at the bottom to lower it. The volume level selected appears on the volume
display (17). When the bar has disappeared from the volume display, it means that the silent
mode is active.
PRECAUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
• As with all products using radio waves, the Babycall HD is dependent on the obstacles
situated between the transmitter and receiver, atmospheric conditions, the position of the
transmission and reception units, the proximity of household appliances and television and
radio sets which must be placed more than three metres from the receiver.
• The units must always be placed in an upright position when operating.
• Test the sound quality and its reception when using for the first time and test regularly after
that with the units situated sufficiently far from each other.
• To preserve the lifespan of rechargeable batteries and get the very best out of the Babycall
HD use the mains for the receiver.
• Keep the units away from all sources of humidity and high temperatures (radiators, direct
sunlight, etc.). The maximum recommended room temperature for the Babycall HD is 28°C.
• ONLY USE THE ADAPTERS PROVIDED.
• DO NOT DISMANTLE OR IMMERSE THE UNITS IN WATER.
• IRREPARABLE DAMAGE OR A SHORT CIRCUIT ON THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY MAY
RESULT FROM INCORRECT CONNECTIONS, in particular by shorting the receiver unit's
polarity connectors with metal objects.
• Do not try to open used batteries or put them in fire or water.
• Switch off the Babycall HD by disconnecting the mains adaptors in the event of
thunderstorms.
